How consent works

CallMeBack's AI voice, Ara, is an artificial voice under federal rules (FCC 24-17). So she only calls people who agreed in writing first.
Who Ara calls
- Only callers who gave written consent. That means a web form with an unchecked consent box, the full disclosure, and a one-time code texted to their phone to confirm it's their number.
- Never just because a call was missed. A missed call or hang-up is not consent.
- No cold calls.
Everyone else
- Text-back is the default. Missed callers get a text through TextBack.si, with STOP to opt out.
- Or a real person. Your team, or ours, can call back by hand.
On every AI call
- Ara names the business responsible for the call and why she's calling, and says she's an AI.
- She offers "press 9 or say stop calling" right after the introduction. Using it adds the number to the do-not-call list and ends the call.
- She gives a callback number that takes do-not-call requests.
- She calls only Monday to Saturday 9 AM to 9 PM, and Sunday noon to 9 PM, in the caller's time zone.
- She never leaves an AI voicemail.
- Calls aren't recorded. Consent and opt-out records are kept for at least 5 years.
What the demo consent form says
"I agree that CallMeBack.si may call me at the number above using an AI (artificial) voice, and send related automated texts, to demonstrate its service. These calls may be telemarketing. I'm not required to agree to this, or to sign anything, as a condition of buying anything. Up to 1 demo call and 3 texts. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop texts; press 9 or say "stop calling" to stop calls. Calls are not recorded."
Typing your first name, checking the unchecked box and pressing Call me is your e-signature DRAFT: attorney to confirm E-SIGN. We text a one-time code to confirm the number is yours before any call, and log the time, number, form version and exact wording.
The first ten seconds of every demo call
- "Hi, this is an AI assistant calling for CallMeBack.si, about the demo you requested."
- "To stop calls from us, press 9 or say stop calling at any time."
- "This call isn't recorded."
- "You can reach CallMeBack.si at DRAFT: callback number."
One demo call per number per 30 days. No answer or voicemail means we hang up and leave nothing.
